The Superfood Chain kicks off 2019 at Halton Green Screens & One Earth Film Festival

Halton Green Screens shows environmental films in communities in the Halton Region (Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville, Ontario) followed by a discussion, a guest speaker, or a workshop. A Halton Environmental Network program, the goal is to raise awareness of environmental issues and inspire people to take individual and collective action for the environment.

The Superfood Chain will screen on February 14, 2019 at Eco-Movie Night, Film.Ca Cinemas – 171 Speers Rd, Oakville, Ontario

One Earth Film Festival is a Chicago area film festival that creates opportunities for understanding climate change, sustainability and the power of human involvement through sustainability-themed films and facilitated discussion. The Midwest’s premier environmental film festival, showcases top-issue, thought-provoking environmental films and leads audiences in interactive post-film discussions focused on solutions. One Earth Film Festival is a production of Green Community Connections.

The Superfood Chain, will have two screenings at the One Earth Film Festival: College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 @ 7 PM Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, IL on Saturday, March 9, 2019 @ 3 PM

THE SUPERFOOD CHAIN explores how the global industry affects food security for farmers and fishers around the world. Shot in 4K, this gorgeous documentary follows filmmaker Ann Shin as she meets families in Bolivia, Ethiopia, Philippines, and Haida Gwaii whose lives have changed since the superfood boom.
